Chris Elliott POSES for a picture with someone after the screening
Last night, The Onion presented a SOLD OUT screening of episodes of the early 90's tv show Get A Life. The series' creators Chris Elliott and Adam Resnick were there for a post-screening Q&A.
NOTES
–Chris Elliott and Adam Resnick met while working on the writing staff at Letterman. Adam started out as an intern.
–Chris was originally offered his choice of lead roles in the film Dumb & Dumber, the film that jettisoned the careers of Jim Carrey and the Farrelly Brothers into the stratosphere.
–During the Q&A, an audience member asked what the positive feedback was like for Get A Life while it was on. Chris and Adam revealed there was quite literally no positive feedback from ANYONE until the show was off the air for several years.
–The release of Get A Life on DVD has been held up do to an ongoing legal struggle with a co-producer of the series. However, the show is readily available in VHS format.
