The CC Insider's Bonnaroo Wrap-Up
CC Insider Agent Nicole went down to the Bonnaroo Festival last weekend and came back with this comedy-packed report. (Apparently there were also BANDS at Bonnaroo, but Comedians are the new Rock Stars…)
This weekend, CC Insider headed to Bonnaroo with a hacky sack and a dream — to watch the gospel of comedy be brought to thousands of jam-band-loving, shower impaired hippies.
80,000 attendees gathered on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee for four days filled with crowds, crowds and more crowds. Bonnaroovians wishing to see a show inside the air-conditioned Not Another Comedy Tent needed to schedule an hour or more of wait time for even the earliest sets.

Demetri Martin:
Vic Henley, Morgan Murph, Jon Reep, Tom Papa and Demetri Martin warmed up the crowd of early birds on Thursday night, dispensing a southern comfort cocktail with a slice of song.
Patton Oswalt:
Patton Oswalt & his fabulous t-shirt, "Jesus Got R Done":
Patton Oswalt played four sets over the first two days, taking requests from the audience for bits as if he were an early morning act on the Which Stage.
Fans waiting on line for Lewis Black’s first set:
Kjell Bjorgen:
Over 1,700 fans lined up hours in advance for Lewis Black’s two Saturday performances. Those lucky enough to make the cut for the second set were treated to a renedition of The Never Ending Story theme song by Kjell Bjorgen before Black took the stage.
The spirit of comedy couldn’t be contained to one tent, as other artists poked fun at Bonnaroo culture on the main stages. Beck’s set featured a live performance by puppet version of the live band and a filmed clip of their travels through the seedy belly of the Bonnaroo underworld.
When the dust settled on Sunday, CC Insider packed its tent and headed to the true heart of the South – the delectable Waffle House. Nothing warms the heart of a tender comedy lover quite like pecan waffles with a side of grits!
