The Times (UK) has an interesting little tidbit on what it's like to use MySpace as a self-promotional tool during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (the largest and perhaps strangest arts celebration in the world). The piece features such gems as this quote:

“My favourite thing about MySpace is that people send you messages saying things like ‘You know that bit you did about Heidegger the other day, and the audience didn’t seem to laugh, well me and my mate were at the back of the room and we thought it was hilarious.’ ”

Exactly.
