Madonna

Madonna, well known for her immaculate string of stellar film performances, has shocked Hollywood and the entire world by announcing that she is giving up on the silver screen because she's tired of the media conspiring against her projects.

"I hate to admit it, but I’ve decided to give that up. How can any film survive if everyone says it's going to be a flop from the very day the project is even conceived? It’s already dead in the water."

The CC Insider sent a correspondent onto the streets of industry-rich L.A., the belly of the beast, to see how people are coming to terms with their overwhelming sense of grief…

  • "I don‚Äôt know if I can even understand a world in which her beautifully dessicated visage is not projected monstrously across a twenty-foot screen." – Joel Ipman, Industry Wag
  • "She gave us so much‚Äìso many great, memorable, not-at-all-embarrassingly-sh*tty performances‚Äìand we gave her so little in return. It breaks my heart to imagine her crying in one of her many isolated mansions. She must feel so lonely. I'm ashamed of the world." – Stephen Kodgman, Shaker, Part-Time Mover
  • "God! No more Swept Aways! No more Body of Evidences! No more Shanghai Surprises! I feel like my baby was just run over by a tractor-trailer full of DVDs of Dick Tracy on it's way to the city dump!" – Sheila Apatow, In-the-Knower
  • "Who's Maddona?" – Terrence Peterson, Young Movie and Music Fan
