At this weekend's New Yorker festival, Jon Stewart silenced rumors of a run for the presidency:

"Nothing says 'I am ashamed of you my government' more than 'Stewart/Colbert '08,'"

(We believe the word we're all looking for is "DUH"!)

I note that in a Presidential poll conducted at http://www.popularq.com/survey_results/survey_results.php?scode=S740S1S410347S1S0S&s_orig=740,

Jon Stewart is getting 78% of the vote as compared to Bill O'Reilly's 22%

or nothing says "ashamed about your government" like a trip to the deep south to interview americans on politics to find even they are praying for a new yorker in D&G, military inspired suits with fashion scarves and pumas with his "right hand man" and confident,(wink, wink nudge nudge), weeping at all his speeches, to take office. Nothing says it like that.

Somebody needs to show Jon Stewart the "mug shot" picture MSN has posted on their website today. It is beside their report on Stewart-Colbert 08 story but it has to be one of the worst pictures to chose.

Doesn't Jon STewart know people at MSNBC?
