Veep Watch for Monday, January 8th, 2007: Richard B. Cheney is still Vice President of the United States of America.

Cheney_2Condoleezza_rice_2But: when all is said and done, at the very least we can say we scooped The New Republic's website — as of Saturday they're floating the same irresponsible rumor we posted here on Thursday: that if Cheney steps down and is replaced by Condi Rice next month, you heard it here first. Here. At the Comedy Central blog. STAY TUNED…

My prediction, is that the Republican representative from the "Fightin' First" (and only) District from the Equality State of Wyoming, (Rep. Barbara Cubin (R) Wyoming) will resign when reports of her alleged vampirism will be proved true. Both she and Cheney hail from Wyoming, and both have pronounced canines.

My favorite part is the photoshopping. I'm not kidding. It's so bad it's good.

i fail to see how it could be so much worse for the country. i mean, what could be worse for the country than dick cheney? sure, condi rice is a tool. but this administration is completely populated by tools. at the end of the day, the value of breaking down two barriers at once (that she's a woman and she's black), has value unto itself.

personally, i don't give a shit about whether or not hilary clinton or barack obama get to use their womaness or blackness to get into the white house. if they can't get in their on the merits, then fuck them. all i care about is getting decent people into positions of power, and if this speeds things along and helps to foster a situation in which we can start choosing not exclusively within the rich white male electoral pool, then excellent.

plus, maybe this will speed cheney along to his death.

Part of me hopes this happens so I can tell people I read about it on the comedy central blog, but part of me thinks it would be terrible for the country. Natalie Imbruglia said it best: Nothing's right I'm TORN!
