Rudy is supported by the constituencies that count: the Economic Royalists (h/t Sen. Schumer) and the 9/11 Death Cult (h/t DCeiver). Since this is what really defines the GOP, the Christianists (h/t Sullivan) will be persuaded to go along, once placated by Rudy's forthcoming pledge that although he may *personally* be a social liberal, that will have no bearing on his selection of judges, as the Constitution is the Constitution, and oughtn't be construed to protect anybody.
