Years ago I produced a feature comedy starring Joe Lo Truglio (MTV's "The State"), Todd Barry (comedian, Pootie Tang), David Wain ("Stella," Wet Hot American Summer), Ian Roberts (Upright Citizens Brigade), Jon Benjamin ("Dr. Katz"), Eugene Mirman (Invite Them Up), and Amy Sedaris ("Strangers with Candy") as the voice of a talking penis.
It's called PUBERTY: THE MOVIE and has since been lost in a sea of unfinishedness. The good news is, you can see two clips online. The first is the animated segment called "Puberty Pals" in which a talking penis (Sedaris) schools the kids about hormones and changing bodies. Watch below (WARNING: OBSCENE!)
The segment was animated by Ken McIntyre and illustrated by Ken and Dave Wallin. Like Jem and the Holograms, it's truly outrageous.
You can see the opening credits scene, also animated by Ken, on his website. It features music from the always entertaining Corn Mo, who also created the soundtrack for the film.
Why am I telling you this? Partly because if you're an Amy Sedaris fan and haven't seen this, you should. And partly because I was feeling nostalgic. Enjoy!
