Contrary to popular belief (and a certain dream of mine), Gutenberg! The Musical is not about actor (and possible robot builder) Steve Guttenberg. If you don't believe me, take it straight from the source: "The Gute" explains the difference.

Find out how you can get discounted tickets to see the musical about the other Gutenberg after the jump.

(Earlier: aLive from New York meets Steve Guttenberg at Gutenberg! The Musical)

From the UCBT theater:

"To celebrate our extension and our award nominations, we're offering a fantastic discount to UCB members, but be quick because this offer is only valid through April 22. UCB members pay JUST $14.50! (regular price $65)"

"A pretend backer's audition for a musical about the inventor of the printing press sounds like a terrible idea for a show, but in GUTENBERG this preposterous concept is brilliantly realized. With just a stack of baseball caps, some sharpened pencils, and a piano, two ingratiating goofballs deliver massive chorus numbers, elaborate Goth set pieces, absurd narrative twists, improbably side-splitting asides about the Holocaust, and hilarious personal confessions. Funnier than it has any right to be, GUTENBERG delivers laughs so consistently that you may feel stupid for thinking it was a stupid idea to start with." New York Magazine
