The quest goes on. Thank you to all who participated in last week's poll. In the coming weeks I'll be stepping up my campaign for Colbert's black friendship and I'll be using the advice I've gotten from you on my journey. I was a little surprised with the results from last week. Right now for the title of best Black friend/White friend pair (real or fictional) Benjamin Buford 'Bubba' Blue and Forrest Gump are edging out Alfonso Ribeiro and Rick Schroder on Silver Spoons. I would rather not have to die in an unwinnable war to prove my superior black friend skills (You can still cast your vote in that poll and my first and second polls!). Which brings me to the topic of this week's poll: What skills/special powers would Stephen Colbert be most interested in his Black Friend having?

Regardless of etymology, the correct modern pronunciation is za änds, rhymes with sounds. dictionary it, friend.
Stephen,
You blithering idiot, "zounds" rhymes with "wounds" not "grounds", as you so ignorantly pronounced it in your "N-Word" interview. "Zounds" is a contraction of "God's wounds," i.e. Christ's injuries on the cross, and was often used as an exclamatory vow by Shakespeare and other Elizabethan playwrights.
