Israeli Newspaper Covers The Watch List
The Jerusalem Post ran a profile on The Watch List, Comedy Central's line-up of Arab and Persian American comics (new episodes running every week on this very website).
Filed under "Coexistence Comedy," the article pays special attention to co-creators/producers Dean Obeidallah ("On September 10, I went to be as an American. On September 11, I woke up an Arab) and Max Brooks, who "could be doing nothing more Jewish* than helping out Middle Eastern Americans who are being portrayed so negatively in the media."
The comments section on the article is already getting a little heavy (surprise), but at least it's a good story. Give this piece and show a chance (Ed. – groan).
*So his mom's a shiksah, but Max identifies as a Jew, and when your dad is Mel Brooks, that's gotta add something to your Jewish cred.
