Bob Odenkirk Signs with Super Deluxe
According to a press release from Turner Broadcasting (via The Coming), the comedy website Super Deluxe has signed up Bob Odenkirk for a new series:
The new 12-episode comedy series premieres Wednesday, May 16, with a new episode premiering each week, it was announced today by Drew Reifenberger, senior vice president and general manager of Super Deluxe.
Derek & Simon: The Show follows real-life friends Derek Waters and Simon Helberg as they chase girls around Hollywood. But there are elements conspiring against them—namely the girls themselves, not to mention Derek and Simon’s own incompetence in winning them over.
Anyone who has seen The Pity Card (Part 1, Part 2) or A Bee and a Cigarette (Part 1, Part 2) knows that Odenkirk plus Derek and Simon is a recipe for ass-exploding hilarity, so this is pretty much the best news you're going to hear all day. Apologies to anyone with lotto tickets for tonight.
