Now That's What I Call a Punchline
According to the UK's Blackpool Gazette, Australian standup Jim Jeffries was recently assaulted on-stage by an angry audience member:
The fuming 22-year-old, who police said is from the Lytham St. Annes area, marched on stage at The Comedy Store in Manchester and walloped Aussie comic Jim Jeffries in the eye over a put-down.
Security and shocked audience members stormed the stage to prise the man off Jeffries.
The yob spent a night in the cells before being cautioned by police.
Footage of the Comedy Store scrap was posted on video-share website YouTube by Jim's agent, Brett Vincent, where it's now been seen by more than 25,000 surfers.
The Fylde attacker erupted when Jeffries delivered a put-down to a noisy female heckler.
