Who better to review the newest album from Yo La Tengo, the indie-band that can do no wrong, than David Cross, the indie-comedian who can do no wrong?

So, David didn't actually bother to listen to I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass (certainly the best-titled album of our generation), but that doesn't stop him from pretty much hitting the nail on the head and giving the nail brain damage from the force of his accurate hitting skills.

Whether you're a fan of "the fat guy and two Jews" (as I am) or a not-fan (as I am, as well, sometimes), you should appreciate the review. Here's some highlights…

Track 1: "Pass the Hatchet, I Think I'm Goodkind" – This track starts off kinda slow but then ramps into even more slowness resulting in some serious slowitude.

Track 3: "I Feel Like Going Home" – This is a whirling dervish of aural bumbles and spills. Starting with a train whistle and ending with the sounds of a real cockfight, this hodgepodge of hodgepodgery reminds me of the good part of a penis.

Track 9: "Daphnia" – Ughhh, what the f**k kind of name is "Daphnia"? Is that the name of some Evanescence fan from Winnipeg? I don't like this song, I imagine.

Track 10: "I Should Have Known Better" – Now this is more like it. When I first heard it I nearly sh*t myself. (I was able to make it over to the window in time and get my ass out and sh*t on someone else.)
