Zack Galifianakis' Bad Art Auction (NYC)
On Tuesday, July 10 at 8pm, Zach Galifianakis will serve as the MC for New York Magazine's Bad Art Auction, part of the NYXNY series. The be-bearded one will have the backing of indie rawkers Band of Horses as he takes bids on cringeworthy pieces culled from the attics, cubbyholes and minds of "artistes" from the Tri-State Area. It'll give a whole new meaning to "found art."
The fun goes down at the Hiro Ballroom of the Maritime Hotel (363 W 16th Street). Get $30 advance tickets here, which include a one-year subscription to New York. Proceeds go to New York Cares, which I can personally attest is Patton Oswalt of Big Apple volunteer organizations (no slight to Zack).
