As covered here before, Dane Cook can attract rabid Springsteen-sized arena crowds, but respect from comedy critics often alludes him. So you might be a little surprised to read an inarguably glowing review of Cook's new record Rough Around the Edges on a stand-up connoisseur website like Punchline Magazine. Sure enough though, reviewer Dylan Gadino seems to love the CD:
He also gets hilariously graphic when talking about a website that
lists registered sex offenders in your area: “You click on a dot and it
shows you a little picture, and then under the picture—stats! Like a
rapist baseball card. And if you collect all nine rapists, there’s a
puzzle on the back. There’s a rickety van puzzle on the back with a
clown holding a glass dildo.”
Okay, Dane Cook, you got me. I laughed at that bit.

I saw Dane Cook this weekend in Las Vegas and he was Horrible. I doubt that he has ever seen his own performance for if he had we would realize that the 2 comedians that helped warm up the crowd were far better than he was. he was crude, lewd and not funny. He spent 30 min out of his 60 min show speaking about "porn – tube"….not funny. a 14 year old would be funnier recounting his day viewing porn on the internet. Caesars hotel should be embarrassed for bringing his act to their hotel. I'd like to spend more time telling you and as many people about how awful he was but i'm trying to forget the night myself. on another note…i saw chris rock in nyc and i've never seen anything funnier.
