Good luck getting tickets. And if you miss out, don't worry. You can drown your sorrows with a tasty cheese-steak at The Liberty Bell with Rocky.

I e-mailed this to the webmaster on the day the episode was aired, however I have yet to get a reply from anyone.
Hi my name is Hiren Patel, and I am a college student at Drexel University. I am a huge fan of of Stephen Colbert and the Colbert Report and I wanted two tickets to the show when you guys come to Philadelphia in April 16 for my roomate for his birthday present. He is a bigger fan than Me when it comes to stephen colbert and has always wanted to go to his show tapings but since their in New York he could never come. Now that you coming to Philadelphia in April the weekend before his birthday it would be great if I could two tickets to the show on April 16th 2008 which is 4 days away from his birthday. It would mean a lot me and as well as a lot to him. I was watching the colbert report when he made the announcement to get tickets, I went within 2 minutes and by the time i filled everything out it was sold out and I was devasted I kept on trying. Please, it would be great if you could arrange two tickets to the April 16th show. Since we live only 4 blocks from where the show is it would be perfect for us to come, and I checked my roommates schedule and checked that he is only open on wednesdays to come out. Please, please, please try to do something, if you cant get two, than please try to get 1, ill give it too him instead of myself. He would really appreciate it. Thank You.
Stephen, if you're coming to my city you have to put me on the show! All those washed up guest you interviewed were just warm-ups for the real deal here in Philly. Put my name on V.I.P
if you, or any member of your crew, need a hair cut when you're in philly, go to richard nicholas hair studio at 1716 sansom st. and ask for jess knight…. she's fabulous…..and i'm not just saying that because i'm her mother………last weekend she placed third in a national competition in las vegas earning her a place at the competition in ny this fall……………get a cut now before she's charging $400!……you can check her out on my space………………don't tell her i sent you………she'd kill me (well, not literally)………and did i mention….she's beautiful, smart, witty, and a big fan of yours , as am i (a fan, that is)…….she's off on tues and wed, but i'm going to be visiting her for that week ( standing in line for standby tickets, no doubt) so you can call me on my cell….607-427-1072….and i'll bring her to you…..i know this sounds insane, and maybe it is, but i figured it's worth a try……..and, tell you what, i have sooo much confidence in her, i will pay for the cut if you don't love it……….just keep in mind that i'm retired and on social security………………but enough rambling (hope i haven't already lost you)……what ever happens, thanks for being there doing such a great job….you bring much joy to this old lady
Stephen,
While you're in town you should interview my wife. She is running for state representative in the 182nd district. I know it's a local election, but you could add her to your "better know a district" segment.
Check her out at http://www.votepeggy.com
Thanks.
Welcome to Philly Stephen…
Want to see Philly on the back of my motorcycle…Email Me….There's
Nothing So Powerful like riding through the cradle of Liberty on an Spring Evening with 1100 cc's vibrating between your legs…
You are all sounding like true idiots, and making Philadelphia look like a bunch of shills pandering anything to either get tickets or 15 seconds of fame.
It's "cheesesteak" not "cheese-steak." Friggin' outsiders… /snark
I love your show it's my favorite comic relief in my graduate studies. I am from Philly went to U.Penn for UG & …now I am in Grad School in Philly…You totally deserve the Peabody Award, you are so intelligent & such a great comedic artist! I love your Philadelphia segments…I feel like they are written for just for me to crack up in the library. I have always been big into laughing at anything amusing in any situation, but NOW I study only sciences in complete isolation! I've been stressing out & in dire need of comedy & intelligent humour…Then I found your show & I am really happy studying, looking forward to watching your segments! also the kid's drawing segment is too funny! anyway, WAY TOO MUCH WORK to get a ticket! But I feel special that my city has arts & cultural centers for someone as bigtime as you & that you are making such a big deal about visiting Philadelphia (both negative & positive!)It's exciting!! Just never call it Filthadelphia, I hate that. Maybe Illadelphia is ok. "Ill" as in COOL!
The Truthiness. Pls send me a pass – if you let in anyone on the hoi polloi line, even Elliot Spitzer could get a ticket.
I am BILK(TM)
Stephen,
Like you, I am a Political Juggernaut (I'm world fameous in Philadelphia as a musician).
I'm entering the Republican Primary (Mom tells me I'm a late starter) as a write in in PA.
I NEED the Colbert BUMP in order to get my campaign moving!
Lets talk…seriously…you r the man!
Check out BILKMUSIC.COM
I own the TM to the word BILK…help me fight the illegitimate selling of my licensed commodity by the Amercian Govt from the top down…BILK 4 PREZ!
Stephen,
You must allow the candidate BILK equal time coverage…it is unfair to let Senator McCain get so much coverage when BILK has had no mention on your network whatsoever. It smacks of Republican Pandering to specail interests.
All 600 members of our Philadelphia FREE the VOTE Foundation feel strongly on this issue…and Fred is even considering going on a hunger strike (after he finishes his burrito).
Enhance the Truthiness!
Hi Stephen. This afternoon I was thrilled to discover that the proposal I submitted to DonorsChoose.org was fully funded!!! I can't wait to share the good news with my first graders. To make my day even more exciting, I saw you at the Liberty Bell!!! You even gave me a high five. Thanks for supporting Pennsylvania teachers and students. If only I could get a ticket to the show at the Annenberg….but I can't cut school to put my name on the list for standby tickets. Any suggestions? Thanks again for directing people to DonorsChoose.org.
I have tickets. Does anyone want to suck up to me and win a pair??
Stephen,
BILK vs McCain …no contest in this race(how far do you have to run to win the presidential race anyway?).
Were told BILK can run a 5 minute mile and he intends to prove his fitness for the job by slamming home the Legs Against Arms 5K tomorrow AM.
What legs have against arms is really the question thought…maybe their jealous about the opposable thumb thing…or is it getting stepped on all the time…
BILK FOR PRESIDENT
Stephen,
Be a nice boy and let Bilk come on your show and play some nice music.
sincerely,
Stephen's Mom
I really want to see a relevant candidate like BILK on the Colbert Report. …and yes, please come to the city of brotherly love where you are so loved that it isn't even funny, ok, i is a little funny.
Hey Steve, Vote for Bilk. He's extraordinary and even wrote a phenomenal song about it. He already has my vote, and he needs yours. Steve, C'mon he deserves it all the way around. Love and peace and everything B.I.L.K!
Peace,
Chloe
Stephen, you rule and so does BILK!
Bilk: the only candidate worthy of Stephen Colbert's support. We need a good old American Rock N' Roll-er in the White House, and McCain, Hillary, and Obama sure don't fit the bill!
