Bill Cosby Set to Show Jay-Z, Nas How It's Done*
Bill Cosby, the man who brought huge ratings and elaborate sweaters to the NBC network during the 80's, is releasing a new hip-hop album**. That's right, bitc — er, boys and girls, Mr. Picture Pages*** just cut "Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency," a companion piece to a book he co-wrote recently, "Come on People: On the Path From Victims to Victors."
Although the Cos will not be heard rapping or singing, he's listed as a co-writer. The album will be an "unflinching look at life in the 21st century, but without the profanity, misogyny, violence and braggadocio." In other words, just like a Bill Cosby impression sans the Jell-o and pudding references.
MCs scheduled to appear are neophytes SupaNova Slom, Jace the Great and Brother Hahz . . . wait, no T-Pain? What the . . . Unless there's lyrical artistry on the scale of Mims and Flo Rida, I don't want to hear it.
*We are not trying to incite a feud. Just sayin'.
**In case you're too young to remember, albums were things that came out before cassettes, which came out before CDs, which came out before your mp3 phone.
***That, my friends, is REALLY old-school.
