On March 18, Stephen Colbert, issued a challenge to the supporters of both candidates to participate in assisting to fill the requests of individual teachers from Pennsylvania schools to provide specific resources for classrooms. Pennsylvania teachers made requests through Donors Choose. The goal was $66,000 for each candidate. The supporters responded.

By today, April 17, more than 22,240 Obama supporters have contributed in excess of $155,600 to touch more than 32,600 of our children and grandchildren.
