I didn't like The Colbert Report the first time I saw it, either. I think Colbert himself was trying to figure out the fine line between being caustic while still being likeable. I think his performance in Philadelphia pretty much proves his figured it out. Always gotta love just about anything him and Jon Stewart touch.
