I'm a teacher and I laughed until I cried as you described school moments: the bear licked the honey, recess (I love the recess stance--ready to leap out the door), the projects (oh...before you get to the letter H, mention that boys ALWAYS tape on the outside of the pictures; girls roll up the tape so that their pictures are presented neatly, perfectly. I loved the Italian next door neighbor and the switching of the names...the hockey stick turned into a tomato stake. Really, I laughed so hard and I want to thank you for giving people joy.
