From Canada.com (your source for the latest on flannel, sketch comedy, rampaging moose, and other topics of interest to our neighbors to the North) comes news of yet another small-screen titan making the leap to celluloid–Joel Surnow, creator of Fox's 24, is producing a romantic comedy:

That Face
centres on a small-town guy who lands a job at a New York cosmetics
firm, only to be fired on his first day after telling the owners his
honest opinion about their spokesmodel. He gets a chance at redemption
after finding a replacement, but the foul-mouthed beauty needs a lot
more than makeup to become the new face of the company.

… and with any luck she'll say, "'Enry 'Iggins, just you wait, you $&?#*$%@-er!"

But that's not all–CC Insider's tipsters have also uncovered the following heart-warming scenes planned for the film (spoiler alert!):

  • Female love interest gets male lead to spill the beans about his philandering past by hilariously attaching electrodes to his genitals
  • Male lead charmingly gets a table at a popular restaurant by slowly removing each of the Maitre d's fingernails with pliers
  • Female love interest wins over male lead's meddling ex-girlfriend the way only a sassy, streetwise girl can: mace under the eyelids
  • A four-way split-screen shot featuring caressing hands, smiling lips, an unsnapping bra, and a severed toe
  • Not to give away the ending, but it'll have Roger Ebert saying, "Waterboarding has never been so sexy!"
  • Some kind of countdown
