Slashfilm reports that the DVD release of Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay will include a Choose Your Own Adventure-style feature called "Dude, Change the Movie." It appears that viewers can alter the movie, which will have access to 27 additional scenes. It should arrive in stores, hopefully packaged in rolling papers, on July 29th.
This marks a breakthrough in DVD technology. I'd like to see more features like this, such as:
- Director's commentary made insightful at the touch of a button.
- Ability to embed Rick Rolls into slow romantic scenes/car chases.
- Amortization chart that explains how much stuff I could have purchased had I not been lured in by all the DVD extras.
- And most important: Smell-O-Vision
