Economists and freakonomisists around the world are baffled by the godly influence of Stephen Colbert. Move over Korean popstar Rain, because while that sound from your mouth may result in girls around the world wetting themselves, the voice of Colbert is influencing the world market. Something far more important than the dirty panties market.
23 minutes into the June 17 show, Colbert gave the new version of Firefox the "Colbert Bump." Two minutes later, Firefox 3 downloads spiked to record high. I hate talking about stats, so refer to the graph on the Mozilla blog. Can Stephen Colbert be some sort of modern day Zeus, influencing the lives of mortal men? Experts say that’s stupid. But I say he’s on his way.
Video of Colbert mentioning Firefox can be found after the jump.

The man, the myth, the legend. If he's not an American Patriot, I don't know who is!
Ironic that he gave the bump to the version his name was removed from. Shows what a stand up guy he is!
