Red Grant's Reality Bites Back Blog

Well this is the start of the show Reality Bites Back and no one knows what to expect.
They keep us in the dark about today's events. Something feels real strange to Red
Grant because my spirit is a little unsettled.

The producers have us all sitting in this room
anticipating our first challenge.  Michael Ian Black comes on the TV monitor and lets us
know that we will have to seduce a stranger and try to get them to have a one night
stand with us and I'm saying to myself, this should be easy, because I have done this
before. I have had at least 25 one night stands in my life, so the only thing I have to do is
be Red's self.

All the other comedians are in there panicking because they seem to
have no game in their arsenal. Well it is finally time for me to spit my game and the
producers walk me up these spiral steps to my unbeknownst future lover. They walk me
down this dark hallway and stop me in the middle of a dark room. I start to get real
passionate as I spit game. They finally cut the lights on to reveal my new lover. I am
shocked because instead of a new lover it's my own mother. I can't believe they would
do something like this to me. I can't believe she didn't tell me that they were going to
do something like this to me. I don't know who to be mad at the producers or my
mother. Well I choose the producers. I love my mother too much.

It ended up being
great when I found out that they had everyone in the cast's parents to come out too.
My mom (Suzette) really got into the process and she had a ball. Now she keeps calling
me in Hollywood asking me what is next for her. I have to let her know nothing is next.
Well my mom and I were a good team that episode and I think it even brought us
closer. I made it through the show and I am on to the next one.
