Bill Murray Vaults From Heavens Above Chicago
Redeye reports that comedian/skydiver Bill Murray will be applying his death-defying skills in the skies over Chicago with the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights at the 50th annual Chicago Air & Water Show. The team will open their chutes next month.
Murray's jump is on behalf of an Illinois group which benefits wounded GIs. To add to the Jump-stravaganza, Florence Henderson (AKA Carol Brady) will sing the National Anthem, and the crowds will enjoy the musical stylings of Gary Sinise's ensemble the Lt. Dan Band. It is not known whether Murray acquired his parachuting prowess as a cast member of Stripes or while doing character research for Garfield.
At the end of the drop, the para team will land at North Avenue Beach, at which point they will liberate Chicago from our enemies and keep the world safe for deep dish pizza and the blues.
