What can I say about Philip Seymour Hoffman that hasn't already been said? How about, "Philip Seymour Hoffman was briefly married to a replica of The Lincoln Memorial built from tapeworm pelts?" Yeah, I'm guessing that hasn't been said yet. But what has been said about Philip Seymour Hoffman many times is that he's a combination of awesome and born today. In his honor, here are his three Daily Show appearances.

I think the best thing I ever heard about Philip Seymour Hoffman was in the DVD commentary from the "Strangers with Candy" movie. Toward the end of the film, his character passes a note to Allison Janney's character, and we never see what the note says. But Paul Dinello reveals that Hoffman actually wrote (and I hope I'm remembering this correctly), "Your p*ssy smells bad." I can't think of or watch that scene without laughing at Janney's face when she opened the note.

Happy birthday to the very talented and oh-so-refined Mr. Hoffman!
