R-Rated Comedies Surging in Popularity

The Canadian Press has an article about the surging popularity of R-rated movies. I don't think words like shit or fuck should be uttered in any context, even if it serves the academic point of referencing words like shit or fuck. But apparently, using words like shit or fuck, words I despise with all my shitty fucking heart, is big money nowadays:
While Hollywood executives usually soft-pedal comedy, figuring the PG-13 rating offers the best return on their investment, racier hits such as "Wedding Crashers," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up" prove there's a place for R-rated humor.
The article talks a great deal about Step Brothers, the new Will Ferrell/John C. Reilly comedy. So, Will and John, you think you're so funny just 'cause you're involved in the funniest fucking shit around? I'd like to point out, you're also tarnishing the beautiful God-given gift of step-siblingry. And by extension, divorce! Doubly despicable! I bet you're not even real step brothers.
In all sincerity, I hope more studios produce R-rated comedies. If it weren't for There's Something About Mary, I probably would never have learned how to masturbate. And then what would I have done with my summers?
