Jack Black Is Pretty Jolly
I stumbled across this interesting article from Reuters. Breaking news, Jack Black is "rotund!" I'm glad someone is covering this. I always thought he was merely big-boned:
Hollywood has throughout its history had a rotund star ruling the comedy roost. The tradition goes back at least to Fatty Arbuckle at the turn of the century, and later Jackie Gleason… Some could say Black is the latest in that illustrious line of broad comedians.
"Broad!" Get it?! This journalist already did all the work for me! Black is pretty good-humored when asked how he feels being the "official fat guy."
“It’s not easy,” he joked. “I’ve got a lot of fat guys trying to knock me off fat mountain. They’re all coming. They’re like, ‘I want to be the fat guy.’ I’m like, ‘No I’m the fattest fat guy. I’ll beat you fat guys.”’
Jack Black deals with inane press junket questions like a class act. If someone asked me how it felt being the "official smelly guy," I'd throw down. I don't care if it's true. I'd smother that reporter in my stench. I hear his Tropic Thunder costar, Robert Downey Jr., keeps a cool head during his share of interesting press junket interviews. Kudos to both those guys for not going balls-to-the-walls bananas.
