More sad news this weekend, Isaac Hayes passed away at 65 today. Our condolences to his friends and family. Here he is playing Chef on South Park, one of his memorable roles.
I am a big fan of South Park and I am NOT a scientologist but I hope that Comedy Central has the decency to not show the last "pseudo" episode of Hayes playing Chef. As funny as things are thats just crude and I will hold them accountable. Trey and Matt I hope you now get why even a fan like me hopes you stop making fun of him. He was a great singer and one cool dude, gonna miss ya Chef and Isaac!
I am saddened by this news. I always hoped they would reconcile and Chef would come back. He was one of my favorite characters ever! "Children!" So cool and funny. RIP Mr. Hayes.

Isaac Hayes was an integral part of the early success of South Park, and we all were fortunate that he shared his talents to be part of this show. It's unfortunate that he and the show parted company on such unpleasant terms, but he helped make South Park the success – and Chef the icon – that they have become, and nothing can take that away. Thank you Isaac – and thank you Chef.
RIP Issac Hayes. Whether he was Chef or not he was also an amazing musician and actor. Hip-Hop, Disco, and rap would not be the major music genres they are now without Hayes. I use the term "music genre" lightly in reference to rap.
I understand where Parker and Stone are coming from. Hayes was a hypocrite during the scientology episode. But I agree with DMONMCD that showing the season ten return of chef would be insensitive and cruel. It isn't that they can never show it again, but I think that they should wait at least a year.
Don't blame Matt and Trey – they made the last Chef episode to poke fun at Scientology, not at Isaac. Didn't you listen to Kyle's speech at the end? It's crystal clear what their message was: They miss their friend whose brain was scrambled by a fruity little club and they love him.
Besides, no one really knows what happened between Matt, Trey and Isaac except for them. It's not right to make assumptions about what transpired.
I have to agree with topher, I think the last epidsode with the pseudo Chef was an expresison of their disappointment with the loss of their friend. Falling out with a friend is so complicated and can leave mixed emotions in addition to feeling very hurt.
As far as airing that last episode, offending everyone is what South Park does best but that's why we love them.
Finally, I'll miss you Isaac, hope you're making hot love to some sweet woman who enjoys chocolaty salty balls

They say they go in '3s' – bracing for the next Great to meet his/her maker.
Issac Hayes WAS Chef and despite the falling out you cannot help but watch South Park & appreciate the cool factor that he brought to the character.
Gonna miss B-Mac and the GENIUS who composed the Theme To Shaft.
"That Shaft is one bad mother..Watch yo mouth!
Just talking 'bout Shaft..we can dig it!"
Dang,

RIP Issac. You brought me years of laughter. You will never be forgotton.
wow…i can't believe he's gone
He was a great entertainer and he was fantastic as Chef on South Park! RIP Issac Hayes
I love South Park, but I think it was in bad taste the way Trey and Matt treated Hayes. Those guys are funny, but seem like self absorbed dicks.
Loss of words………….
A reminder to all… no matter how much you disagree with your friends, colleagues and family, always love and respect them.
A very sad good-bye to our beloved friend, Mr. Hayes.

Have a little faith. They'll do the right thing.
