Of all the things at The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget, none was perhaps more divisive than Norm Macdonald's set. Some thought it was smart, subversive and hilarious, while others… didn't. Well, now, for the first time ever, you can see Norm's complete uncensored act in its entirety Norm's outtakes from the show, so you can truly judge for yourself. [Ed. Note: Originally, I mistakenly billed this as Norm's complete set. It is, in fact, the complete outtakes, everything that didn't air. However, if you saw the broadcast and these clips, you have now seen the complete set. My apologies for unintentionally misleading.]
Parts 2 and 3 are after the jump, along with a hot-tempered point/counter-point about Norm between Gonzalo Cordova and me.
Matt: Hey, Gonzalo, I have a feeling you'll take issue with this, but I think Norm Macdonald's set was the funniest part of the Roast.
Gonzalo: I have a feeling you'll take issue with this as well, but I think the Norm Macdonald set was the funniest thing as well.
Gonzalo: WHA?
Matt: Oh boy.
Gonzalo: This is a pickle.
Matt: A major pickle.
Gonzalo: We can't do a point counter point if there is no counter point.
Matt: It's more like point-point. And pointing is rude.
Gonzalo: When you point one finger at someone, you point three fingers at yourself.
Matt: We need to disagree about something or this is going to be the worst point/counter-point ever. Um… I thought Norm's set was really ballsy. Agree or disgagree?
Gonzalo: I thought it was gutsy. Not ballsy.
Matt: Now we're talking.
Matt: You idiot.
Gonzalo: You is the idiot! For one thing, guts are cooler. Balls can get hurt easily
Matt: Your counter-pointing skills are keen, I'll give you that.
Gonzalo: I've never seen a zombie eat balls. They eat guts because guts are delicious. And just trust me on this- balls taste like ass. Both of which i've tried.
Matt: A zombie movie about zombies eating balls would be great though. Agree or disagree?
Gonzalo: I disagree. I've seen that movie
Matt: Two Weeks Notice?
Gonzalo: I think it was actually called Failure to Launch. It was really bad- no one ever launched
Matt: Sounds terrifying. Though accurately titled.
Gonzalo: I was hoping it was like anti-marketing. Kind of like Norm's anti-comedy.
Matt: You know what would've made it better? Norm Macdonald.
Gonzalo: He would have launched
Matt: He would have launched the shit out of it.
Matt: We're back to point/point.
Gonzalo: I would have rather seen Henry Fonda picking blueberroes.
Matt: Oh, there's something we disagree on. I think blueberries are spelled with an "i" not an "o"
Gonzalo: I disagree- I think there is no "I" in blueberry.
Matt: Damn. You got me again. I'm terrible at this. I think you've won this point/counter-point. I concede that Norm Macdonald was the funniest part of the Roast.
Gonzalo: I disagree- I think he was the funniest thing that ever lived.
Matt: And now I die…
Eyes-tearing-up funny.
Hung out with him in Houston last week when he was doing a show here. Not only is he the funniest guy ever he is also very very cool to hang out with!! =)
I like to suck peter.
this was definitely the best part of the roast for me. very kaufman-esque. totally made up for jon lovitz's weak performance.
Johanne, i think the videos will only play for people in the US. that seems to be how most networks' video steaming sites work these days. try to watch something at abc.com or nbc.com and you'll probably get denied there, too. sorry.
that, and his delivery is what made it brilliant!
his jokes were SUPPOSED to be lame, that's what made it so funny! some people don't get that…
To me his ad-libs were funnier than his set. I mean the jokes were funny but compared to others not at all. Leachman killed everyone and Gilbert was actually REALLY funny
And I seem to recall him "ad-libbing" some comment. This is wack.
god norm is hillarious. another funny thing is john stamos trying to get laughs in the backround by reading norms paper.
Are these really the complete outtakes? First off, these obviously contain material shown on the televised roast, and second, I've heard about two jokes that these videos don't contain. One was where Norm says something like "Bob takes vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. So why does he still look like H?" as well as Norm apparently referring to Bob as "the same stinker he's always been." If I haven't been misinformed, these still seem incomplete.
Can anyone tell me why Comedy Central's webvids never play on my computer? Or why I keep getting sent to the Comedy Network'a (the Canadian version) website? It's very annoying. I know what I want to see, and resent being sent away. This is turning me off the Comedy Network.

dog face was my favorite… boo.
dog face is for the birds
what happen to dog face ?????
since when does complete and uncut! = cut in 3 parts with jokes missing?
You're both wrong; Norm Macdonald's set was the funniest part of the roast.
