The annual New Yorker Festival, hosted by the eponymous* magazine, has announced this year's lineup. In addition to the normal group of typical elite Northeast Liberal Communist Jewish Atheist arugula-garnishing intelligentsia, such as Clint Eastwood, the weekend will include funny types like Matt Groening, Lynda Barry and Stephen Colbert. Although we haven't seen the full schedule, we imagine there will be panels deconstructing the LOLs of New Yorker cartoons and discussing whether anyone actually buys and/or wears the "genuine" French berets advertised within the magazine.
The festival runs October 3-5.
*I have no idea what that word means but it's an above-average REM compilation.

Also on the agenda at the New Yorker Festival: TDS's John Oliver and Samantha Bee, TCR's Allison Silverman, SNL's James Downey, et al.
Lots of other interesting people are scheduled to be there, too (Paul Rudd, Junot Diaz, Art Spiegelman, Sherman Alexie, Malcolm Gladwell … ); it sounds pretty damned cool.
