Hosers Mark 25th Anniversary of Strange Brew, Eh

I was going to post this yesterday, but in honor of the occasion I drank 25 beers and passed out on my computer. The only reason I woke up is my drool seeped out onto the power source and gave me a small shock.

25 years ago, our neighbors to the North gave us one of the greatest Comedy experiences in living memory.  And no, I'm not talking about the Loonie, the world's wackiest currency. When everybody in the States was enjoying their Cheech and Chong, two intrepid beer aficionados by the name of Bob and Doug McKenzie stormed onto the scene with Strange Brew.

Here's a fun fact: Before Strange Brew, Bob (Rick Moranis) and Doug (Dave Thomas) released a comedy album and had a hit song called Take Off. It featured vocals by Rock Band master Geddy Lee.

Last time I saw the movie was at a midnight showing at a Brew and View in Portland Oregon. There were three of us with three pitchers. Sobriety never had a chance.
