I'm not easily confused. I easily grasped that confusing Matrix sequel from a few years back. The movie makes much more sense once you realize it's all a dream. But the upcoming sitcom from veteran writers Steve Levithan and Christopher Lloyd gave me brain freeze.

ABC is teaming up with comedy veterans Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd on a single-camera project that follows three American families as told through the eyes of a Dutch documentary filmmaker…

The concept evolved to feature three families: one comprised of a working dad, stay-at-home mom and two kids; another that includes a 60-year-old man who becomes a stepfather after marrying a Latina who is 30 years his junior; and the third, a gay couple who have just adopted a Vietnamese baby.

For those of you who followed this fairly simply, let me clarify. This show contains three characters that are not caucasian Americans! That's two more than I could handle! Where the hell are Dutch people from? Are Latinas from Latvia? Wasn't Vietnam that fictional country from Platoon? How am I supposed to tell them all apart? I'm confused! Too many countries!

Not to mention it has two gay characters. How am I supposed to handle that much sass?! What about when their baby inevitably grows up to be gay? Sass overload eminent!
