I wish Eugene Mirman would make a joke about me being boyfriend/girlfriend with Loni Anderson and driving a Cadillac made of diamonds and Honus Wagner rookie cards, because when Eugene Mirman jokes about things, they end up happening for real. Take, for example, The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, which started as a joke and is now going to be a real thing. But not just any real thing, a real awesome thing. From Time Out New York:

Jason and Randy Sklar, with Zach Galifianakis, talk about and screen
clips from their short-lived but critically acclaimed 1997 MTV series
on Apartment 2F reunion.

Also…

Instead of the usual collection of scribes from a late-night talk show
revealing what goes on in the writing room, Mirman’s “Interns of
Comedy” discussion features comics recalling their early experiences as
interns for Conan, Letterman, The Daily Show, etc. And revealing how the stars like their coffee.

Man, that's going to be great. The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival will take place September 25 through 28. More details on the event's Facebook page.
