Rickyg

In an interview with UK's Independent, Ricky Gervais talks about his anxiety about fame and how his ADD helps fuel his myriad projects.

Gervais describes the arc of success for British comedians, and how he has desparately attempted to avoid it:

"The first thing they do is appear in four films and they're all terrible, lottery-funded, tacky shit." It seems that Gervais' method to avoid this fate is do everything from acting to directing to stand-up to children's books. When's he going to start to do musicals?

The one minor embarrassment in the interview is that he flubs a Keats' quote. It's embarrassing. You win an Emmy, you become one of Time's top 100 powerful people and you forget your major British poets? Ouch.
