According to those America-hating fancypantses at the New York Times–who evidently took a break from spreading vicious verifiable facts against John McCain to write about something else for once–The Daily Show had its best week ever:
A week of political upheaval and economic turmoil may have been bad for the nation, but it was great for ‚ÄúThe Daily Show With Jon Stewart.‚Äù The week of Sept. 15-19 was the most-watched ever for the Comedy Central satirical news show, with Mr. Stewart and his colleagues drawing a little more than an average 1.9 million viewers an episode… ‚ÄúThe Daily Show‚Äù finished its week by winning the Emmy Award for variety, music or comedy series.
