Demetri Martin Starts 'Toy Story 2 Was Okay' Trend

The Apiary brings us news that Demetri Martin, amazing comedian and Daily Show Trendspotter, started his own trend recently.
In the 2006 breakout-comedy album, "These Are Jokes" by Demetri
Martin, the New York brainiac and comedy maven has a great joke about
graffiti:"Graffiti's the most passionate literature there is, you
know? It's always like 'Bush sucks!' … 'U2 Rocks!' … I want to make
indifferent graffiti. 'Toy Story 2 was okay!' … 'I like Sheryl as a
friend, but I'm not sure about taking things further' … 'This is a
bridge!'In a rare meta-form of tribute, some diehard fans around the U.S.
have taken to scrawling "Toy Story 2 was okay" on bathroom stalls, park
benches and reservoir walls.
From the obnoxiously drunk hills of Boston to the heroin-addicted streets of Seattle, people are graffiti'ing "Toy Story 2 was okay," in all the hot spots of America. It must be amazing for Martin to know he holds this kind of power. I wish I could simply state something and have it become a reality. Maybe if I have confidence in myself, this dream can become a reality…
I wish everyone I met would want to have sex with me. There's no way that can backfire.
After the jump, check out more photographic proof of the hottest trend since The Twist or cocaine!
I really love the colors in this entry from The Bonfire Lounge in Portland, Maine. It's so… art new deco.
The handwriting in the following picture from The Flowers Bar and Restaurant in Seattle, Washington is vivacious and downright urgent. It speaks volumes in a single sentence. Plus, three exclamation marks? Genius!!!
The last entry earns a place amongst the esteemed, mostly because it was tagged in my favorite restaurant, Spike's Junkyard Dogs in Boston, Massachusetts. I identified with the lonely guy dog so fucking much.
One last thing I need to mention. Even though I went to school in Boston for four years, I originally misspelled Massachusetts both times it appears in this post. Me go'd to college?! That am crazzy!
