This year, a great American holiday tradition is born – watching "A
Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!," Stephen Colbert's
one-hour original musical holiday special premiering Sunday, November
23 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.
In the special,
Colbert is on his way to perform with Elvis Costello in New York City
but is trapped by snow in his cabin in upstate New York (bear country).
Luckily, his friends Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend, Willie Nelson and
Jon Stewart stop by to help him celebrate the season. "A Colbert
Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!" features original songs written
by David Javerbaum (executive producer, "The Daily Show with Jon
Stewart") and composer Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), who
recently collaborated on the Tony®-nominated Broadway musical "Cry
Baby," with the exception of "(What's So Funny 'bout) Peace, Love And
Understanding" which was written by Nick Lowe. The songs were produced
by Schlesinger and Steven M. Gold. Theme music and score also by
Schlesinger and Gold.
Songs performed on "A Colbert Christmas" include:
• "Another Christmas Song" – Stephen Colbert
• "Have I Got A Present For You" – Toby Keith
• "The Little Dealer Boy" – Stephen Colbert and Willie Nelson
• "Can I Interest You In Hannukah?" – Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart
• "Nutmeg" – Stephen Colbert and John Legend
• "Please Be Patient" – Feist
• "There Are Much Worse Things To Believe In" – Stephen Colbert and Elvis Costello
•
"(What's So Funny 'bout) Peace, Love And Understanding" – Stephen
Colbert, Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend and Willie
Nelson
For everyone in Colbert Nation, "A Colbert Christmas: The
Greatest Gift of All!" DVD is the perfect stocking stuffer. It will hit
stores on Tuesday, November 25, released via COMEDY CENTRAL Home
Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. The bonus features
include a book burning Yule log, video advent calendar, alternate
endings and more. COMEDY CENTRAL Records will also release the songs
from the special as a digital album available exclusively on iTunes on
Tuesday, November 25. A portion of the proceeds from both the DVD and
iTunes will benefit the charity Feeding America.

When I first watched the Toby's part, I thought it was just a music video (I didn't see the parts with Colbert).
Once I realized it was part of a Colbert special, I assumed that Toby's part was making fun of his own stereotype, and in the process distancing himself from it.
If that's the case then major props to Mr. Keith, because I wouldn't put it past him to believe every word of that song.
Those of you who didn't like Toby Keith's appearance on the show obviously did not "get it." As a matter of fact, do you even get the humor on Colbert's show? And who goes around using the c-word. Ignorant and trashy. What a winning combination.
how can i whatch to angel singing on line
Hey! I live on the west coast, and there was NO COLBERT at 10:00 on comedy Central…what gives? We're really bummed!
Truly, TRULY the greatest gift. Laughter, a sense of humour. at one self, lifes' folly… Elvis is King!
GAH! I just realized I missed it!!! I hope they show it tomorrow or sometime soon.!!!
Is there anywhere to watch this online? Thanks!
I laughed so hard i thought my liver was gonna explode!

toby keith is the opposite of wonderful cunt.
toby keith is a cunt and so is colbert for including him.
I love Stephen's kids at the beggining as beggar children, Maddie, Peter, and John have grown-up.
I can't wait. I only wish he could tell a Christmas bedtime story to Young Stephen, starting a new, All-American Christmas tradition.
Colbert was on NPR's Fresh Air yesterday. They played some samples. Audio available here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=97191965
