With everyone saying how popular this book is, I finally read it.

And it was a pile of shit.

The book is targeted at teenage girls who fantasize about "the perfect man" , Bella has no spine, she is a whiny slut who "loves" Edward even though there wasn't any chemistry between them, it is poorly written and VAMPIRES DO. NOT. FUCKING. SPARKLE. IN THE GODDAMN SUNLIGHT.

FUCK.

No, the plot is NOT amazing, it is NOT the best book ever written, people who don't like twilight are ALLOWED to rant because its a goddamn bad book and you twitards can go hook up with your sparkly vampires and try to have sex with a thousand year old body.

I understand if tweens and teens love this book , because they don't know any better and its whats "in" , but if you are an adult and a die hard fan of this series, I pity you.

Dig a hole and bury yourself. seriously.

Stephenie meyer: please stop writing, it would do the world a favour. Next time if you write a book about a mythical creature, Research it.. RESEARCH!!

Oh, thank the lord. My mother bought "Twilight" to read on a plane, then handed it off to me, as I will read almost anything. It's a curse, really. I was like, "Since when does fanfiction get mass publication?" Christ Almighty, could Bella be anymore vampire-ready? Dark hair, dark eyes, pale-despite-being-from-Arizona? It's like the god-awful stories Gothicky kids would turn in for Creative Writing in high school. Stephanie Meyers could write a lot better, I think. She has a knack for descriptive writing. Thank God for South Park! They always seem to say what I can't put into words….;P

"I'll never read that damn book".

but then I finally snapped and read it.

I've never read anything that literally kept me turning the pages all day.

The plot is amazing. Vampires hunting vampires, what is better than that?

You silly people who are saying the book is bad are people who don't have a fun imagination, and who hate romance.

LIKE COME ON.

If you don't like romance i strongly recommend that you do not read this book.

So what, twilight had become a huge success.

Harry potter did too, so were you people ranting on the readers because they were reading about wizards?

& just stop talking shit about the author.

Do you think she could honestly care less what the people who bad mouth her book think?

A) Not all readers of the series are pre-teens or teenage girls. I have seen boys, men and even the elderly reading and liking these books. Sure, Stephenie Meyer isn't the best author in the world, but her work is interesting to a lot of people. Those who dislike the books: you don't need to rip into them as you currently do, we get that you don't like the books but you don't need to make everybody alert of your 'intense hatred' of Twilight, nor do you need to belittle the fans who actually like the books, or generalize and somehow imply that it is only teenagers who like reading this series.

B) I love South Park, it's hilarious, but seriously, what the hell. There's maybe one reference to Twilight in this episode?

C) The half of the haters here: I didn't see any of this stuff you write when nobody knew what Twilight was, but now that it's popular, you hate it. Some of you are probably the very same people who used to love the books, until they became popular, because you're just so different, and can't stand to be part of the 'mainstream'. Just like what you want, and let others like what they want. LEAVE TWILIGHT FANS BE. Talk crap about the book, I could give a damn less. I can click the X if I don't want to read it. But do NOT judge the readers, who you don't even know.

Because when you do, it eventually spreads to day to day life. By doing this, you have created a lot of bullies for people who have done nothing wrong.

People should be able to read what they want, whether it's Twilight, or Harry Potter, or Gossip Girls, or a Dog Poo Drying In The Sun… if they know the difference between dime-store stuff like that, and real art in literature, I see no problem in letting them have their mania.
