Stephen Lynch

As someone who writes comedy songs and stealthily worms his way onto the writing staffs of corporate entertainment blogs in order to plug them under his boss's radar, I always have mixed feelings when some smarty pants blogger comes along and tries to legitimize what, at the end of the day, is a really stupid way to try and make money. But Stephen Lynch, one of a small but growing cadre of non-smarty pants non-bloggers who do make money at it, does a pretty good job:

For everyone who looks at all these musical comedians and thinks

"I want to get some of that money", are some guidelines on how to make a good

comic song.

Unfortunately, he leaves the "getting some of that money" part tragically unexplored. But he at least has some good insights into the "writing to make your roommates giggle" part.
