Does anyone have a better resumé than Ben Karlin? He's been one of the brains behind The Onion, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, which is like being the inventor of the light bulb, the phonograph and soup. Even Thomas Edison couldn't complete that hat trick. Which is a roundabout way of saying you should drop everything and watch this interview Karlin did on the Sound of Young America video series, which evidently exists and is great. Keep your eyes peeled for the clip from Karlin's pre-Daily Show fake-news pilot.

The audio version of the show is about twice as long and is here: http://www.maximumfun.org/blog/2008/03/podcast-ben-karlin-of-onion-daily-show.html . The video is part of a pilot I did with Current. It may or may not become a regular thing — there's also one with Patton Oswalt which you can find on my site.
