The headline for this post was going to be "Peggy Olsen Engaged to Barack Obama", but then Videogum took STOLE my idea and now my headline is boring. Regardless, Fred Armisen and Elizabeth moss are now baracking the casbah as fiancees.

Less than a week after word got out that Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss was dating Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen, Moss' publicist confirms to E! News that the actors are engaged.

Moss told usaweekend.com,

"It happened just a few days ago…It’s private, so I don’t want to

share the details of how it happened, but I will say it was perfect.”

Dammit! For years now (2 years to be exact), it's been my dream to marry someone from Mad Men. If Joan Holloway ends up marrying that jerk, I'll be forced to settle for gay marrying Salvatore.

Moss and Armisen were spotted recently together at the Vanity Fair party for Mad Men, and also at her Broadway production, Speed-the-Plow. (Yes, that Speed-the-Plow. The one with Jeremy Piven William H. Macy.)

Poor Jeremy Piven. He get's made fun of in news posts that don't even have anything to do with him now. It's not his fault fish are made out of 100% mercury.

By the way, I really wish Mike Jagger was marrying Elizabeth Moss instead because then my headline would be, "A Rolling Stone Gathers Moss," and I would get all the fake internet awards people get for being amazing online.
