Boing Boing posted some more clips from How's Your News?, and I was going to save them for Before They Get Stales, but then I reconsidered, because I realize I have an opinion on this clip other than "Clip=Awesome." Awesomeness might get stale, but opinions never get stale (ED Note: opinions get stale all the time).

Click after the jump to read my opinion, which I deemed worthy of a post. It's at least as blogworthy as Oscar Meyer's meat products.

We've already told you all about How's Your News before, and I've watched and enjoyed the internet content, but I was still a little worried.

To be honest, I was slightly worried How's Your News? might become exploitative in its transition to television. But after seeing some more footage and reading up on it, all my worries proved misguided. Not only does the show seem funny, but there's an apparent warmth and charm to it that is derived from its cast. I think the whole shebang can be summed up by a quote creator of director Arthur Bradford:

I think the big question [is] "Does this show really belong on MTV? Aren't all those kids going to laugh for all the wrong reasons?" …let me just say that I think this line of questioning does a sort of disservice to both people with disabilities and the kids who watch MTV. People with disabilities don't really need a bunch of watchdogs looking out for their "best interests". They are most often able to do this themselves… And the kids who watch MTV are much smarter than we are giving them credit for…

Now I feel bad for ever doubting MTV's integrity. Although, in my defense, this exists.*

I know, my opinion isn't even that interesting, because as Boing Boing points out, even "notorious crankypants critic" Tom Shales loves the show, but whatever. I'm on board with whatever How's Your News? has got to show me.

You must be glad you clicked after the jump and read my opinion (ED Note: No one on earth is glad to have clicked after the jump and read my opinion).

* J/K I geniunely love My Super Sweet Sixteen.
