The irony in this is that you can say the same of a "private person" who decides to become an actress or singer. For decades, the paparazzi has followed them, and we know the dangers of said issues (of course, this assumes you remember Princess Diana). The public official has just as much of a right to privacy on a bus (free from news reporters stalking him or her) as any celebrity does from the paparazzi. No one, regardless of profession, should be hassled for interviews and so on without being asked first; it should be common sense that they're all people and nothing more.

And to the person saying he's "not going after the Big O," maybe it's because he's still in his first month. I don't remember Bush being hammered for comedic value very hard in his first couple months. Give it time.
