You may know him from his Huffington Post . . . er, posts, New York Philharmonic radio broadcasts and an occasional stint as Jack Donaghy on NBC's 30 Rock. Now Alec Baldwin has plied his success into everyone's dream employment scenario: getting paid to talk about things he loves, namely classic movies.
Say hello to Turner Classic Movies' Essentials new co-host. Baldwin (Classic Alec pictured on right for tha ladiez) will give his take on gems such as Rocky, Cat Ballou and Ben-Hur on Saturdays at 8 p.m.
In a bizarre 30 Rock-related coincidence, John Lithgow will host The Essentials Jr. (the family-film version) in the summer.
