Believe it or not, I still haven't seen The Watchmen, which is really weird, because I usually see every movie that prominently features a giant radioactive blue penis. I mean, I saw The Reader twice! Anyway, this is completely unrelated, but here's the scoop on this week's South Park.
One young citizen takes it upon himself to maintain order during a time of despair in South Park. An all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "The Coon,” premiers on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
“The Coon” rises from the trash and takes his place as a lone vigilante who wipes out crime in the town of South Park. A rival superhero appears on the scene in the form of “Mysterion” and challenges the Coon’s place as a “symbol” for the town.
You can see more images from the episode after the jump.
As always, tons of clips and full episodes are available at South Park Studios.
Wow, truly amazing. I love Southpark.

Um….the way you described it made it sound nothing like watchmen…..Read or watch the damn story before you make comments on it. In the end you look very unprofessional when you write about topics you obviously know nothing about.
bloody fanboys (below)
Any chance that Professor Chaos will reappear as a villain in this episode?
Um, that does not follow Watchmen at all. More like Batman or just super heroes in general. You admit you didn't see Watchmen but draw a comparison? Where can I apply for your job?
I'm assuming that he used it as a comparison because it is the most talked about superhero movie on the internet right now. He wasn't even directly comparing the episode to the movie…just used it as a setup for the story. Chill.
To the Southpark fanboy below me, poking fun of Ed "The fanboy". Read what Matt Tobey wrote, if you know ANYTHING about the watchmen, Southparks, "The Coon" isn't a spoof of anything watchmen related.
Ed was write when this has nothing to do with the Watchmen. There are no details reffering to watchmen excepted masked heroes in alley ways. This is closer to a spoof of Batman then anything else.
Coon, type of rat. Bat flying type of rodent.
Shadows in the alley, Tim Burtons Batman.
Matt Tobey is just an ill informed reporter.
