Stephen Colbert interviewed writer Neil Gaiman last night, and the entire thing was very entertaining, especially if you're a giant nerd, which, let's face it, you are. But my favorite part comes at 3:38 when Gaiman brings up Tolkien. You can literally see on Stephen's face that Colbert the character is suddenly no match for Colbert the man who, as you know, is a self-professed LOTR-nut.



So, to future guests of The Report: if you're ever getting nailed by Stephen, and you need a momentary reprieve, just drop in a reference to Middle-Earth and watch the facade melt away.
