If you want to know why traditional news outlets are struggling, look no further than last night's Daily Show. Jon pointed out a shameless tactic that's used by the cable news networks to prey on viewers' fears all in the name of increasing ad revenues. It's exactly why people are turning to more trustworthy new media sources. So, what is this greedy disservice the news nets are committing? Click play, sit through a commercial and find out!

The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

The Opie and Anthony Show (now only on satellite radio)
has been making fun of the scary news teases for a few years now.
Same idea. Some clips very funny.
