I always thought pirates were hook-handed curmudgeons bent on revenge against magical ageless boys, but it turns out that's just most pirates. If last night's South Park midseason finale is to be believed, a small handful of pirates are actually desperate impoverished young men forced into lives of crime by the utterly hopeless circumstances of the Third World. Whimsical!
